The configurator provides companies with a solution that enables their worldwide sales network to create quotations quickly and without any errors.
Since the solution is provided as a web application, it can also be used by distributor channels or prospects and customers to configure an order.
“This way, the configuration of multi-variant and complex installations, systems, and products is just as simple as configuring a car, including prices, variants, and country-specific requirements,” says Erich Schaarschmidt, Managing Director at SAE. The modular product assembly kits created in Teamcenter with the help of libraries, product structures, relationship knowledge, and bill of material assignments are brought together with commercial data from the existing systems in the SAE platform and bundled centrally in the SAE CPQ or SAE 3D CPQ solution.

The solution ensures consistent data management, reduces sources of error, and thereby significantly contributes to the digitalization of business processes. It ensures that quotations are created quickly using data that is always up-to-date and correct, and digitally maps the entire company know-how.
