Heavy loads, large projects, outdated processes
TII Scheuerle and TII Kamag are leading specialists in the transport of heavy and valuable loads, from yachts and wind turbines to rocket parts for Blue Origin and SpaceX.
Despite impressive engineering expertise, the sales department struggled with outdated processes.
- Manual processes: Many processes were still running in Excel with a high degree of manual input.
- No scalability: Doubling the number of offers would have required doubling the number of employees.
- Systemic hurdles: There was no seamless integration into the system landscape, including important interfaces to ERP, CRM, and PLM.
The digital revolution: A new sales architecture
Selling complex products is more than just CRM - the entire process needs to be scrutinized and completely rethought.
Together, TII and SAE introduced SAE CPQ, implementing a new digital sales model that addresses the unique challenges of mechanical and plant engineering. Customer-specific requirements, approval processes, pricing, and parts lists have been completely digitized.
